How do I register?
A limited number of spots are available at the CGS 2007 Region 1 Western Qualifier. Pre-registering online will give participants preferred status at check-in the day of their event.

Upon pre-registering online, players will be placed on the Waiting List in the order they sign up. Entry to tournaments will be confirmed by completing registration check-in at The Bridge, along with on-site registrants. By bringing a printed copy of their confirmation email along with the already required government issued ID, pre-registered attendees will be given tournament spots first and foremost.

Please submit accurate information only during registration. Invalid names, email addresses, and addresses may result in online registration being nullified or missing out on important information related to the qualifier.

How does the Counter-Strike: Source deposit work?
Participating Counter-strike: Source teams in the CGS 2007 Region 1 Western Qualifier are required to submit a $25 deposit per team to reserve their place in this historical e-sports event!

Each of the 16 confirmed teams attending will receive a full refund of this deposit upon completion of on site check-in on May 11 at 4:30 pm PST. This deposit is nonrefundable and nontransferable for teams which fail to complete check-in on time.

To confirm your team for the qualifier please follow these easy steps…

1) Register at www.thecgs.com/thebridge (team captains only need to create their team)

2) Join your team (passwords will be set by your team captain)

3) Once your team has 5 registered players on its roster, it will be automatically added to the Wait List

4) Upon being wait-listed, your team will receive an email with instructions on how to pay the $25 deposit

5) Upon receiving the $25 deposit, your team will be added to the Confirmed List for the event.

Only 16 spots are available for the CGS 2007 Region 1 Western Counter-strike: Source Qualifier, which are available on a first-to-confirm basis. Act quickly for your chance to advance!

What are the eligibility requirements to compete in the qualifier?
All qualifying competitors of the “CGS Qualifier at the Bridge” event must meet the following eligibility requirements:

1) All players 18 and older must bring a valid photo ID to the qualifier. Players under 17 must bring signed parental consent forms in order to compete. Only players who are 18 years old or older will be eligible to attend the Regional Combine and/or participate in the CGS draft.

2) Unless written consent is given, only players who meet the citizenship requirements will be eligible to attend the Regional Combine and/or participate in the CGS draft.

If you have questions regarding citizenship, please email info@thecgs.com for clarification.

3) For team games, there will be a roster maintenance requirement. For example, for Counter-Strike: Source, a team must maintain 4 of 5 of the original roster between qualifying and
attending the Regional Combine. Only teams compliant with the roster maintenance requirement are eligible to attend the Regional Combine and/or participate in the CGS draft.

4) Players/Teams who do not meet the age, citizenship or roster maintenance requirements forfeit any claim to prizes given.

For CS:S, how many players can I register?
You can register up to 6 players for a Counter-Strike: Source qualifier tournament: 5 starters and one alternate. The alternate may be used through the course of the qualifier tournament as needed.

However, if the team qualifies, the team captain must then submit the names of the 5 starting players for participation in the Regional Combine/Championship.
Those 5 players then become locked into the team roster and cannot compete with any other team in subsequent qualifiers, online or LAN, or at the Regional Combine/Championship, even if the
player has been replaced by another.

The alternate will be released from the roster and is free to participate with other teams in subsequent qualifiers until such time that he or she is listed as a starter for a qualifying team.

How can I confirm my pre-registration and/or the pre-registrations of my teammates?
If you would like confirmation of your pre-registration and/or those of your teammates,
please send an email to thebridge@thecgs.com or open a support ticket on this site. Be certain include your team name and those of any players with your inquiry.

How can I change my pre-registration information and/or change the roster of my team?
To change basic registration information like your email address, phone number, address, etc., send an email to thebridge@thecgs.com or open a support ticket on this website. It is critical that all information for teams
and players is valid and up-to-date.

If the tournament has already started, you cannot change your roster. You may, however, be able to add an alternate player at the discretion of tournament administrators.

If the tournament has not yet started, you can change your roster by opening a support ticket. Roster changes must be made 24 hours or more prior to the start of the tournament. If you are adding a new player, please ensure that player registers online prior to your request.
